This position requires proven skills in test development and methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of testing within a distributed software system as well as a deep understanding of common QA tools and practices. We expect the ideal candidate to scope, design, implement and maintain tests for new projects, working both independently as well as in collaboration with the development team in an agile environment.A day in the life
As Quality Assurance Engineer you'll work autonomously on complex quality challenges, designing test strategies that span multiple services and engineers while partnering with development teams to establish quality bars. You'll mentor peers, influence architectural decisions for testability, and drive critical trade-offs between test coverage and maintenance-ensuring customers never experience quality issues through proactive defect prevention and technical leadership across team boundaries.About the team
The US Private Label Credit Card (PLCC) tech team builds and maintains the technology platform that powers Amazon's co-branded credit card programs, enabling millions of customers to earn rewards and manage their credit seamlessly. Our team works on high-impact projects spanning the full customer lifecycle-including development with AI-Native. We deliver new product and feature launches, and provide WW features like Acquisitions, Refer-a-Friend, Set-as-Default, and Verified Experience. We colalborate closely with partner teams across Amazon and external banking partners like Synchrony.
We tackle complex technical challenges at scale, balancing innovation with operational excellence, while working in a fast-paced environment where your contributions directly impact customer experience and business growth.Basic Qualifications- 4+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- Experience in automation testing
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projectsPreferred Qualifications- Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Appium

As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
