With headquarters in, Kamloops, BC, we are now seeking an experienced Senior Metallurgist for our Kamloops location. The successful candidate will be working on Mineral Processing projects and will have experience with comminution, flotation, leaching and pressure oxidation. Experience in operations and metallurgical testing will be well suited for this role.Specific ResponsibilitiesManage projects, which include the following activities:Bid preparationClient interactionComplete metallurgical balances and communicate data to the clientsAnalyze data and determine direction of the testing program based upon the resultsUpon completion of the test program, analyze and present the data in a format suitable for using in the project final reportWrite final technical reports for projects under management and projects managed by others if neededConducting, supervising, and reporting bench scale and pilot plant test workDirect, supervise and when necessary, conduct test work in laboratoryLiaising with a Technical Services Manager regarding ongoing test programmesProviding a mentoring role for other technical staffObserve established safety regulations and comply with all health and safety policiesOther duties as assigned by the managerEducation and Experience RequirementsBachelor's degree in Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy or Chemical EngineeringPEng registration preferredA minimum of 7 years' experience in mineral processing; gold or base metals processing preferredCore CompetenciesMetallurgical testing in a laboratory setting is requiredDemonstrated leadership skillsGood communication skills with well-developed written and oral skillsIn support of the remuneration package, we provide employees with an opportunity to grow by enhancing and developing skills.
