Our client is a trusted distributor of industrial equipment and their Edmonton location is looking for a Quality Manager. This position will be responsible for leading and maintaining the integrity of the company’s Quality Program, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and driving continuous improvement across all operations. This role develops and integrates a unified Quality Management System, leverages data and technology, and promotes a culture of quality excellence across the organization.Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and accountability for the overall integrity and effectiveness of the Tundra Quality Program
  • Leverage technology and data analysis to improve testing and inspection procedures across all operational areas
  • Integrate, standardize, and enhance existing quality programs, tools, resources, and training into a unified, company-wide Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Implement and promote Six Sigma philosophies, principles, and supporting systems/tools to drive process improvement
  • Conduct virtual internal audits to ensure compliance with applicable standards (e.g., ISO 9001, CSA N299.3, AAR M-1003), including identifying deficiencies and implementing corrective actions
  • Maintain all external regulatory certifications (e.g., ABSA, National Board, ASME) across all provinces
  • Develop, implement, and sustain 5S programs across all national locations
  • Manage external audit programs and support operational teams during third-party and regulatory audits
  • Collaborate with business units to investigate and respond to customer complaints and Corrective Action Requests (CARs)
  • Implement and manage quality cost concepts and reporting to support business decision-making
  • Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with company quality standards and expectations
  • Apply statistical methods to identify, analyze, and correct deficiencies in quality control processes
Requirements:
  • University Degree in relevant discipline along with quality certification along with 5 – 10 years of experience
  • Previous experience in related field along with experience administering quality management information systems
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma initiatives is well regarded
  • Proficient with Quality Managing Information Systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication and prioritization skills
  • Good working knowledge of software and systems
  • A collaborative team player with a practical, problem solving and process improvement focus
