- • Design and supervise the design of building mechanical systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection for projects of large scope and high complexity and evaluate their effectiveness
- Coordinate design, working drawings and specifications with the project team
- Develops and recommends improvements in design standards to lower costs, improve work quality and facilitate maintenance
- Conduct field reviews and building condition assessments
- Provide the information required to issue site instructions, contemplated change orders, and responses to contractor's requests for information
- Understand, manage, reduce and mitigate Contractual and Professional Liabilities
- Resolve/negotiate technical information with authorities having jurisdiction
- Minimum. 10 years' engineering experience in a multi-disciplinary environment, a minimum of 5 years North American experience
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited Canadian or USA University or proof of equivalency
- P.Eng designation required
- Experience with institutional, retail, industrial, large residential, and commercial projects
- Advanced knowledge of the Plumbing Code, Building Code, Energy Code, and other regulations and able to apply to projects in their respective jurisdictions
- Proven experience in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, load calculations, energy modeling and all other building systems
- Conversant in the managing of reviewing the BIM/Revit modeling process applicable to defined project phases
- Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) or Passive House accreditation is an asset
- $110000.00 - $130000.00 annually
