Summary of DutiesWorking with the professional team, the Patient Service Partner: participates in the caring of patients by providing a variety of support services to the team and patients; participates as a member of the team in a manner that reflects the Hospital philosophy and mission of service; and promotes and maintains good public relations with patients, visitors and Hospital staff.Qualifications/Skills
Minimum Grade 11 or equivalent as recognized by the Province of Ontario Ministry of Education
PSW Certificate and completed the Sunnybrook PSP (formerly PSA) course required
Must possess a Food Handler’s Certificate
Demonstrated excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
Experience as a PSP at SHSC preferred
Must possess an Infection Control Core Competency Certificate
Ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team
Previous experience working with the elderly required
Personnel Support Worker Diploma preferred
