- Material Handling & Inventory Management
- Receive, verify, and unload incoming materials using SAP.
- Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc inventory cycle counts; report inventory levels and discrepancies.
- Organize materials for safe, efficient access and optimal use of storage space.
- Evaluate the quality of incoming materials and complete required documentation.
- Process SAP reservations and issue materials to end users.
- SAP System Leadership
- Serve as a lead SAP user; generate reports and support data integrity.
- Facilitate “Train the Trainer” sessions to build SAP competency across the team.
- Shipping & Receiving
- Complete all required documentation for receiving and shipping activities.
- Package and sort materials for storage, shipment, or return.
- Production Support
- Under direction from Warehouse Officers and Lead Hands, issue batches to production by reviewing control sheets and MSDS, selecting and weighing raw materials, and staging intermediates/final products.
- Logistics Coordination
- Organize and coordinate delivery of materials and goods to departments and contractors.
- Equipment Proficiency
- Achieve sign-off on 50% of departmental equipment within three months of start date.
- Operate various warehouse equipment including stand-up forklifts, counterbalance forklifts, and telehandlers.
- Warehouse Maintenance & Safety
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Operational Excellence
- Perform warehousing tasks such as stock transfers, returns processing, goods inspections, order picking/kitting for shutdowns, and storage maintenance.
- Participate in continuous learning and development opportunities to enhance industry-relevant warehousing knowledge.
- Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a senior or lead role.
- Advanced proficiency in SAP and inventory management systems.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and material handling procedures.
- Ability to lead training sessions and mentor junior staff.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Certification in forklift and telehandler operation (or willingness to obtain).
- Five (5) years' experience working within a warehouse & logistics environment preferably within the mining industry;
- Minimum of five (5) years working with SAP and inventory management methods and practices;
- Valid Driver's license or the ability to obtain a site license;
- In-depth knowledge of SAP;
- In-depth knowledge of Warehouse and Inventory Management Practices;
- Ability to lift/carry 50lbs;
- Certification and experience operating equipment listed above;
- High School diploma with 5 years' relevant experience or Bachelor of Science with minimum 2 years' relevant experience in SAP and Warehousing;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Superior organization and coordination skills, initiative, professionalism and dependability;
- Willingness to work shift work;
- Proven commitment to Safety, Health and Environmental Standards;
- Experience working at a in cross-cultural work environment; and
- Legally permitted to work in Canada.
- Experience utilizing barcode technology;
- Transport of Dangerous Goods Certification for ground (TDG) and air (IATA) freight;
- In-depth knowledge of Zebra and/or scanning systems would be considered an asset;
- Red Seal Certified Warehouse Technician;
- Supply Chain Logistic Professional Designation (CITT) or APICS Certifications would be considered an asset;
- Experience working at a remote mining site; and
- The following certifications would be considered an asset: Fall Protection Certification, Parts or Warehouse Technician Journeyman Certification, Loader Certification, and/or Forklift Certification.
