- Administratively manage, schedule, and coordinate training programs for VSY trades workforce.
- Maintain detailed records in Learning Management System (LMS) to track training records, including the monitoring of missing, incomplete, or overdue training, and escalate issues as required to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Lead reporting on LMS training data for operations teams.
- Maintains and updates workforce development training materials, job aids, and process guides to reflect procedural changes and continuous improvement.
- Supports the design and enhancement of training content, including layout, visuals, and formatting, to improve clarity and the learner experience.
- Gathers and analyzes feedback and learning evaluations from training participants and stakeholders for recommendations to continuously improve program content and delivery.
- Act as interface with trades employees ensuring a strong relationship and feedback loop maintained.
- Support organization of community outreach activities to drive interest from the next generations in the shipbuilding industry (ie. shipyard tours, liaison with schools, technical colleges and First Nations).
- Monitors internal control, compliance, and regulatory guidelines are met.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- Human resource management diploma, bachelor's degree in business or HR; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in a high-volume training coordination, HR operations, or program management, ideally in an industrial environment.
- Experience in design and updating training materials using standard digital tools to improve visual appeal, consistency, and effectiveness.
- Technical proficiency in the use of LMS and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), experience with Oracle is an asset.
- Relationship building, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Time management and organization skills with ability to juggle and reprioritize based on business demands and priorities.
- Attention to detail with analytical skills.
- Ability to work with limited direction and to function as a team member.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint (with Visio, SharePoint an asset).
- Experience working with Oracle HCM based system, considered an asset.
