We are looking for a hands-on Onsite IT Technician to join our team in Montr al for an approximate 2-month contract. In this role, you will provide day-to-day technical support while working closely with both office and production teams. - Onsite Support & Troubleshooting: Provide responsive, in-person support to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
- Installation & Configuration: Set up and configure workstations, printers, servers, and network equipment (switches, routers, cabling)
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Support and maintain IT infrastructure, including server rooms and production-area systems
- Documentation & Ticketing: Accurately track requests, resolutions, and inventory using a ticketing system
- Project Support: Assist with hardware rollouts, upgrades, and workspace or production floor changes
- Health & Safety: Follow all workplace safety standards and site-specific policies
- 1 to 4 years of experience in a similar IT support role
- Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and/or Linux operating systems, as well as computer hardware
- Hands-on experience with networking fundamentals (switches, routers, cabling)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, onsite environment
- Certifications such as CompTIA (A+, Network+, Security+), Microsoft, Cisco, or ITIL
- Experience supporting a manufacturing or production environment
- Comfortable lifting equipment (up to 50 70 lbs) and working in varied environments (standing, bending, reaching)
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation may be required
- Bilingual in French and English (required)
