Location: Halifax , EnglandSalary: £41,632.00 per annumShift Pattern 37 hours per week (Mon-Fri)Position SummaryReporting to the Asset Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for the implementation and execution of the factory asset maintenance programme aimed to eliminate unplanned stops and optimise maintenance cost and as a result increase asset intensity. This includes the repairing, reporting and analysis of unplanned technical failures, and the execution of planned and scheduled maintenance in order to prevent unplanned technical failures. Provide technical expertise to reduce both technical and production losses, including coaching and/or participating in problem solving, implementing solutions, sharing knowledge, building competence.Nestlé Halifax Factory in West Yorkshire is the home of the iconic confectionary brand Quality Street amongst several other well-known brands such as Quality Street and After Eight. You could play a key part in it.A day in the life of an Engineering TechnicianAs an Engineering Technician, you will participate in the implementation and execution of the factory asset maintenance programme, aimed to eliminate unplanned stops and optimise maintenance cost and as a result increase asset intensity.Key Responsibilities/Duties will include:
- Reactive & Planned Maintenance
- Utilise SAP CMMS system for recording breakdowns, ordering of spare parts and booking out spare parts from the technical stores
- Project work, improvements and upgrades, etc
- Logical approach to fault finding
- Delivering training/coaching
- TPM tools such as breakdown analysis (BDA)
- Experience of working within a fast-paced environment and the ability to work under pressure.
- Pneumatics, Belts, Cams, Bearings and Chains
- Mechanical or Multi-skilled preferably
- NVQ level 3 Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) or Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship (or equivalent) (Please ensure detailed on CV and certificates will be required)
- Experience in engineering (maintenance, industrial, services, E&A), preferably in FMCG related manufacturing environment
- Good knowledge of Asset maintenance
- Good knowledge of AMM system (SAP PM module)
- Knowledge of TPM methodology is preferred
