Your goal is to harmonize and standardize architectural practices, support technology governance and enhance the resilience of our platforms.Leading a team of architects, you act as both a practice lead and a facilitator, ensuring that all technical decisions align with a shared vision. Your focus is on keeping our systems simple, modular, observable, resilient and sustainable, while empowering teams and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in our practices.Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Digital Audience Technology and Data, you play a key role in driving the evolution of our digital platforms.Your Key ResponsibilitiesArchitectural Vision and StrategyDefine and communicate a cross-functional architectural vision that aligns with business strategy and the needs of our digital product teams.Promote an evolutionary architecture approach that adapts to change without becoming rigid.Ensure consistency and alignment across technology choices to build a scalable, secure and future-ready ecosystem.Governance and StandardizationEstablish and deploy architectural standards, patterns and guidelines.Ensure that practices comply with principles of quality, observability, security and sustainability.Balance the need for common governance with the value of team empowerment.Leadership and CoachingLead a team of architects, fostering collaboration, cross-functional synergy and mentorship.Promote a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.Support architects in their roles as strategic partners to development teams and management.Collaboration and InfluenceAct as a trusted adviser to product management, technology leaders and delivery teams.Facilitate decision-making for complex technical choices, balancing long-term vision with operational pragmatism.Work to break down silos and strengthen a unified vision across all teams.What You BringEducation: University degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.Professional Experience:Five or more years’ experience in an architectural role (solution, technical, enterprise or equivalent).Five or more years’ experience leading and coaching technical professionals.Technical Expertise:Proficiency with modern software architecture principles (distributed systems, microservices, data integration, APIs, etc.).Experience with cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure or GCP) and associated best practices regarding security, performance and resilience.Expertise in data architecture and analytical ecosystems; experience with Databricks an asset.Solid understanding of monitoring, observability and automation strategies.Strategic and Interpersonal Skills:Ability to balance a long-term strategic vision with day-to-day operational needs.Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts to engage and influence partners.Proven ability to build consensus and persuade a variety of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.Demonstrated leadership skills to inspire and motivate a team around shared practices.Bilingualism: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.Please note this is a 12-month contract position, renewable annually.
