- Operate and maintain asphalt paving equipment in accordance with safety guidelines and manufacturer specifications.
- Perform asphalt paving tasks including but not limited to: spreading and leveling asphalt, compacting surfaces using rollers, excavating and grading areas, and operating skid steers for various tasks.
- Ensure proper drainage and compaction of asphalt surfaces to meet project specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to efficiently complete paving projects within scheduled timelines.
- Adhere to environmental regulations and company policies regarding waste disposal and material usage.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks and address any issues or concerns that may arise during paving operations.
- Previous experience in asphalt paving or construction-related field preferred.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining asphalt paving equipment such as rollers, excavators, skid steers, dozers, graders, and water trucks.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (3A license required for Water Truck Operators).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to interpret project plans and specifications.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks.
- Safety Oriented
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Able to work in a fast paced, high production environment
- Willing to work overtime when needed including Saturdays
- Able to work unsupervised
- Able to work well with others
- Good communication skills
