They are currently seeking an Estimator to join their team in Ottawa.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to gather necessary information for estimates.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide value engineering solutions to clients.
  • Maintain and update a database of costs, materials, and labour rates for accurate project planning.
  • Prepare bid proposals and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Monitor and track project costs to ensure alignment with budgets and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and market conditions in Toronto and beyond.

  • Over 5 years of experience as an Estimator within a General Contracting environment, specializing in ICI projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and tools used in the business services industry.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills to ensure accurate cost calculations.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • A degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
