- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures, including coordinating required training and supporting government inspections.
- Develop and manage production, maintenance, and mining schedules, while communicating progress to both management and hourly employees.
- Manage the full lifecycle of third-party drill and blast contractors, including assigning job requirements and locations, coordinating with blasting schedules and OH&S protocols, tracking and approving time, and overseeing invoicing and compliance.
- Monitor operating costs, forecast budgets, and report financial performance to ensure alignment with company targets.
- Coordinate production and inventory levels to meet sales goals and customer demand.
- Support site rehabilitation efforts in accordance with approved plans and assist the property department as needed.
- Contribute to special projects and company initiatives in collaboration with site leadership.
- Apply analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to interpret data, manage time effectively, and take initiative in resolving challenges.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mining or Mechanical preferred).
- 1-2 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with SAP and MS Project is an asset.
- Solid understanding of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments with exposure to varying weather conditions.
