Job Title: Electrical Designer
Job DescriptionJoin a dynamic team to create innovative electrical designs and details for a Laboratory Automation system. As an Electrical Designer, you will be responsible for designing electrical parts and assemblies for robotic integration applications, selecting components and materials, and preparing mechanical drawings using AutoCAD® or similar software.Responsibilities

Design electrical parts and assemblies for robotic integration applications.
Select appropriate components and materials.
Prepare mechanical drawings using AutoCAD® or similar software.
Prepare Bills of Material (BOM).
Review designs for manufacturability in collaboration with manufacturing engineers.
Prepare and execute test plans.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Strong background in electrical design.
Experience with automation systems.
Knowledge of electrical safety.
Ability to design control panels and create schematics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in electrical design safety.
Familiarity with cabling and schematic design.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment involves approximately 30% risk assessment, 40% AutoCAD design, and 30% coordination. You will be working as part of a full R&D team, including project managers, mechanical engineers, integrators, and operations personnel, to ensure the system layout meets power requirements and performance expectations. The company is growing, with innovative new products in the life sciences industry.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of BURLINGTON, ON.
