Job Category: Food & BeverageJob Description:River Rock Casino is currently looking for a self-motivated, friendly and customer-focused individual as Casual/On-call F&B Host. The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting guests in a prompt and courteous manner. He/she will also be seating guests while ensuring a balanced workload among servers. He/she will maintain an accurate waiting list and perform updates as needed and alert guests when a table has become available. Other duties include:
  • Seating guests in the area of choice and distributing menus
  • Advising guests of daily and weekly specials
  • Explaining how various menu items or beverages are prepared if applicable
  • Assisting with cleaning tables or counters, removing dishes and re-stocking when required
  • Performing opening and closing duties as required
  • Maintaining accurate records, waitlists and reservations
  • Maximizing seating
  • Performing cashier duties if applicable
  • Ensuring table availability by communicating with bussing staff
  • Liaising and communicating effectively with other operational departments
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed
Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Food & Beverage experience
  • POS experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
  • A commitment to continually increase your knowledge of our products and services in order to offer exceptional experiences to our guests
  • A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development

  • The ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record Check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)

Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including afternoons, evenings, nights, graveyards, weekends, and holidays.
