- Champion a strong “Safety First” culture by leading crews and ensuring compliance with all safety policies and site-specific plans.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute construction projects to meet schedules, milestones, and critical deadlines.
- Lead and manage field operations, including crews, subcontractors, and equipment resources.
- Monitor project performance, including productivity, costs, and timelines, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Interpret contracts and identify scope changes, risks, and project impacts.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
- Resolve on-site challenges proactively, including scheduling conflicts and operational issues.
- Support job costing, forecasting, and reporting to drive informed decision-making.
- Mentor and develop foremen and junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Participate in project planning, estimating support, and pre-construction activities as required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Contribute to operational improvements, efficiency initiatives, and best practices across projects.

- Minimum 6+ years of leadership experience in the construction industry, with a strong focus on field operations.
- Proven experience delivering civil infrastructure projects, including underground utilities, earthworks, and road building.
- Strong understanding of various soil conditions and construction environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects from initiation to completion.
- Experience coordinating multiple crews, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of contract administration, project scheduling, and cost control.
- Knowledge of provincial safety regulations and construction best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and other project management tools.
- Technical diploma or degree in engineering or a related field is considered an asset.
