Job DescriptionBus Monitors support the bus driver during the trip to and from school each day and must be capable of managing a group of students of varying ages, needs and behaviors. This includes loading, securing, and unloading children in wheelchairs and car seats.As a Bus Monitor, you will work a split shift, working approximately 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. You will be assigned a route that falls between the hours of 6:00 am - 9:30 am in the morning and between 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm in the evening.Bus Monitors work during the school year and are given time off in July and August and school holidays.Requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with children, co-workers, parents and teachers
Organized, punctual and reliable
Experience in childcare/working with children considered an asset
