We work collaboratively with municipalities, partners, and communities to deliver programs that encourage active transportation and reduce environmental impact.One of our flagship programs, The Bike Valet, provides free, secure bicycle parking at events and public spaces, supporting cycling as a safe, accessible, and convenient transportation option.Position Overview:The Bike Valet Supervisor is responsible for leading on-site operations, ensuring smooth execution of Bike Valet services, and supporting attendants during events.You will act as the point of contact on-site, manage team flow, oversee setup and takedown, and ensure a high standard of service for both clients and patrons.This role bridges the gap between attendants and management, supporting day-to-day execution while maintaining operational standards.You will be expected to demonstrate strong reliability, punctuality, and confidence in fast-paced, outdoor event environments with continuous public interaction.Responsibilities:On-Site Leadership:
  • Lead Bike Valet operations at assigned sites
  • Act as the main point of contact for attendants during shifts
  • Oversee team coordination, break rotations, and task delegation
  • Resolve issues quickly and effectively
Operations & Setup:
  • Oversee setup and takedown of racks, tents, fencing, and signage
  • Ensure site layout is efficient, safe, and accessible
  • Maintain organization of tags, inventory, and equipment
Client & Service Delivery:
  • Serve as the on-site contact for event staff and partners
  • Ensure a professional and welcoming experience for patrons
  • Handle escalations or service concerns when needed
Standards & Compliance:
  • Ensure staff are wearing required PPE (vests, gloves, etc.)
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the site
  • Follow all operational procedures and safety protocols
Reporting & Communication:
  • Complete opening/closing checklists and site notes
  • Communicate updates, issues, or incidents to management
  • Support tracking of bike counts and operational data
  • Foster a positive and respectful team environment on-site
Working Conditions:
  • Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
  • Event-based shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physically active role requiring standing and walking for extended periods
Requirements
  • Class 5 driver’s license preferred and ability to support logistics when required
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with diverse members of the public
  • Ability to perform well in fast-paced, high-volume event environments
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods
  • Ability to perform light physical work, including lifting and moving equipment up to 25 lbs, and safely handling bicycles throughout the shift.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to take direction while maintaining a high level of accountability
  • Strong team player with a positive, professional, and proactive attitude
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and event-based shifts throughout the event season
  • Ability to travel to various event locations across Metro Vancouver
  • Must be able to commit to scheduled shifts and maintain consistent attendance throughout the event season
