We invite you to consider a career with us - come, experience our creative, innovative, and performance-based company!Job DescriptionThe Airworthiness Engineer is responsible to research and prepare regulatory compliance documentation in support of Civil and Military programs. Reporting to the Director Airworthiness or delegates, duties will include but not limited to the preparation of technical data to support the Airworthiness Control Committee; Annual and Quarterly Airworthiness reports, Technical Review Meetings, and liaising with various specialty-engineering groups for the development of airworthiness deliverables.Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian Government Security Clearances.Major Responsibilities & DutiesStrive to consistently act in a manner in which reflects Cascade Aerospace's culture and values:

Analyze/validate the regulatory aspects and deliverables associated to aircraft repair designs, modification designs and other design changes throughout the product life cycle:
  • Research and recommend scope and depth of applicable standards of airworthiness
  • Evaluation engineering designs and substantiating data for compliance to the standards of airworthiness
  • Develop designs considering the requirements of the customer, certification authorities, and all other project constraints
  • Apply accepted engineering principles and develop innovative methods for solving engineering problems and developing design solutions
  • Research and evaluate specifications, vendor products, and outside services
  • Mentor the development of other engineering personnel in the application of engineering principles in developing design solutions
  • Provide design guidance to management as necessary
Develop engineering dfata packages in support of airworthiness certification and other department purposes:
  • Prepare engineering reports, drawings and other technical documents
  • Liaise with the airworthiness authority in order to develop certification requirements and data necessary to demonstrate compliance
  • Review and/or approve the work of others
  • Coordinate the engineering activities of the other engineering personnel and outside engineering service providers in development of engineering data
  • Ensure all certification requirements are represented in configuration control and certification data package
Be familiar with and ensure that all workplace conduct is in accordance with Cascade Aerospace's Human Resources safety and security policies and procedures.Perform other duties as required.Core SkillsExcellent communication skills: verbal and writtenDemonstrated skills in engineering design and analysis in their engineering disciplineAbility to work effectively with design teams and project management personnelOrganizational management in advanced technologyEducationB.Sc. in Aerospace / Mechanical / Electrical EngineeringWill consider equivalent knowledge gained through a combination of work experience, education and training (must provide substantiating evidence within application)Experience3 - 5 years' experience in an aerospace environment working on aircraft design, testing and certification; or equivalent engineering experience developing regulatory compliance documentation in a government-regulated industry (marine, transportation, flight safety, etc.)Expertise in the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR 521) or the DND Technical Airworthiness Manual is an assetExperience within the CAF considered an assetCompensation DataReasons To Apply
