- Job Description
- Design and develop electrical systems for buildings including lighting, power distribution, communications, security, and fire alarm systems
- Prepare electrical designs, drawings, and models using Revit and AutoCAD
- Perform electrical design calculations and assist with equipment selection and system layouts
- Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, mechanical, and structural disciplines
- Conduct site visits and field investigations to review existing conditions and support construction activities
- Participate in project meetings and collaborate with clients, contractors, and project teams
- Support proposal preparation and contribute to project planning activities
- Continued professional development through participation in internal and external learning opportunities
- Assist in mentoring junior staff and contributing to the development of the local engineering team
- Directly engage with clients to understand project needs and maintain strong business relationships
- Contribute to the continued growth of the Grande Prairie Buildings practice
- Profile
- Eligible for membership with APEGA - P.Eng. or P.L.Eng.
- Over 6 years' experience in electrical engineering in the buildings sector
- Demonstrate a commitment to client service that is second to none
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is required
- Valid Canadian drivers licence with access to transportation for site reviews and inspections
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) in the English language
- Experience mentoring junior technical staff is an asset
