- Lead activation and optimization across Amazon, Walmart Connect, Instacart Ads, Criteo, Uber Ads, DoorDash Ads, and Loblaws (MediaAisle).
- Own end-to-end campaign governance: creative requirements and QA, tracking/tagging (where applicable), flighting, budget allocations, pacing, keyword/bid/audience optimization, and ongoing brand safety + compliance checks.
- Establish clear performance guardrails (KPIs, learning agenda, optimization cadence) and ensure timely escalation of risks (inventory/OOS, pricing gaps, creative fatigue, tracking/reporting issues).
- Translate client briefs into channel strategy and full-funnel plans: audience frameworks, targeting approach, measurement plan, and a structured testing roadmap (A/B tests, incrementality/lift, geo tests, creative tests).
- Partner with commerce/retail readiness stakeholders to improve conversion and efficiency: catalog hygiene, PDP content, reviews/ratings, pricing and promo strategy, inventory checks, and OOS suppression.
- Build and maintain media plans and forecasts (scenario planning, and sufficiency planning where needed).
- Own cross-platform reporting and insights across Walmart, Instacart, Criteo, Loblaws (MediaAisle) and other platform UIs; ensure clean data, consistent definitions, and executive-ready reports.
- Turn performance into a clear narrative: what happened, why it happened, what we learned, and what we’re doing next with actionable recommendations and quantified impact.
- Lead client communications and governance: set expectations, manage approvals and timelines, and proactively communicate trade-offs, risks, and recommended actions to senior stakeholders.
- Present monthly business reviews and QBRs with a crisp story that ties media performance to business goals and identifies next-step decisions.
- Manage senior relationships with Amazon, Walmart, Instacart, Criteo, Loblaws, and other partners/vendors to unlock opportunities, troubleshoot issues, and drive performance improvements.
- Coordinate internally across analytics, creative, finance/billing, and account leadership to ensure operational excellence and scalable delivery.
- Lead and mentor Specialists/Coordinators: define priorities, set clear standards, provide coaching, and support development plans.
- Drive consistent ways of working: playbooks, QA checklists, pacing/SOV monitors, naming conventions, change logs, and structured post-mortems to improve performance over time.
- Responsible for entering media buy inputs into Prisma in a timely manner, and coaching/teaching new team members and Coordinators on Prisma billing processes and best practices.
- Ensure budget accuracy within PM media finance systems (including reconciliation checks and timely updates aligned to approved plans).
- Update and approve BCR amounts monthly, ensuring alignment across pacing, invoicing, and finance governance.
- 3+ years in retail media / performance marketing with deep, hands-on Retail Media Search.
- Knowledge of Walmart Connect, Instacart Ads, Criteo, Uber Ads, DoorDash Ads, and Loblaws (MediaAisle).
- Demonstrated ownership of media planning, forecasting, pacing, and optimization across multiple accounts/campaigns.
- Experience leading QBRs/business reviews and influencing senior stakeholders with data-backed recommendations.
- Strong analytical capability: comfortable with data aggregation, manipulation, and interpretation, and converting analysis into decisions.
- Strong project and stakeholder management: can run multiple workstreams, manage ambiguity, and operate with urgency.
- Clear communicator and strong storyteller (written + verbal), able to simplify complex performance into actionable takeaways.
- People leadership mindset: capable of coaching, setting standards, and raising team performance.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
- Bonus: experience with full funnel programs at Loblaw and Walmart.
