Assisted Living Facility. The successful incumbents will have the ability to accept a variety of different shifts throughout the week and will have the flexibility to accept shifts that start in the morning, the evening, or overnight.Position SummaryAs the casual, on-call staff member, you will have the opportunity to be cross-trained in a variety of different departments and shifts, including Front Desk Clerk, Kitchen Assistant, Dining Room Server, and Housekeeper. You’ll
utilize a diverse range of skills in each department while maintaining a positive attitude and excellent customer service throughout your day. Each shift works hard to maintain a clean environment and to ensure the safety and positive experience of all residents, guests, and staff members.The casual, on-call shifts are as follows:
- Front Desk Clerk - $24.80 per hour
- 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
- 4:00 pm to 12:00 am
- 12:00 am to 8:00 am ($1.00 premium)
- Kitchen Assistant - $24.34 per hour
- 10:15am to 6:15pm
- Dining Room Server - $24.34 per hour
- 10:15

- Housekeeper - $24.34 per hour
- 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Courses or training in customer service, office systems and procedures
- 1-2 years of experience working in hospitality preferably in a congregate/assisted living setting
- Experience working in and with the Indigenous communities and Indigenous people is an asset
- Courses required and paid for by M’akola:
- Occupational Level 1
- First Aid Level 1 Certificate
- Food Safe Level 1 Certificate
- WHMIS Certificate
- Follow M’akola Housing Society and Assisted Living policies and procedures
- Provide a clear criminal record check
