Our client, a long-standing, family-run business in Little Italy since 1945, is known for its extensive product selection, hands-on ownership, and stable work environment—and is now expanding its accounting team due to recent growth.Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support the Controller across all areas of accounting operations. While a small team handles transactional accounts payable and receivable, this role requires someone who can take ownership of key functions such as bank reconciliations, depreciation schedules, accruals, and prepaids. You will play a central role in managing cash flow reporting, overseeing intercompany transactions, and preparing financial statements for 5–7 different entities. The position also involves driving the month- and year-end close process, working with auditors and bankers, and supporting continuous process improvement. Strong Excel skills and the ability to work through complex reconciliations in a multi-entity environment are essential. You have at least 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience and a proven ability to manage multiple sets of books. You bring a high level of maturity, attention to detail, and the confidence to support the Controller while helping optimize workflows. A solid understanding of intercompany transactions, month-end processes, and experience in both manual and automated environments will serve you well. Comfort mentoring junior staff is a valued asset.What Will Make You Stand Out:
