- Know and comply with all ARAMARK and client policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and emergencies.
- Follows master cleaning schedule guidelines.
- Reads function sheet to complete set-up for kitchen and pull-sheet for Banquets.
- Follow direction of Lead Steward and Captain for daily task.
- Interact with all levels of Management Team to know what is required for daily operations.
- Maintains a clean, sanitary working environment.
- Assists in the collection of cooking utensils from the kitchen.
- Cleans and sanitizes utensils, tableware, worktables, and equipment.
- Ensures equipment and areas are clean and dry.
- Cleans and deep cleans equipment and areas.
- Cleans storage areas.
- Reports equipment and fittings malfunctions to Lead Steward or Management.
- Assists with routine preparatory tasks.
- Transports food and equipment.
- Maintaining soiled laundry receptacles.
- Correctly stores soiled laundry.
- Correctly disposes of garbage and waste products.
- Performs duties in a safe and hygienic manner.
- Devises and executes sanitation procedures and checklists in all kitchen areas.
- Completes tasks as quickly as safely practical.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by Management.
- Incumbent will adhere to the collective agreements in effect
- Demonstrates an understanding of basic sanitation procedures
- Must be able to follow basic safety procedures due to exposure to hazardous chemicals
- Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
