- Setting up and stocking bar stations and any other required pre-event set-up
- Preparing and serving alcoholic beverages
- Tearing down bar stations and tidying up spaces post-event
- Taking payment when applicable
- Has previous experience as a bartender in a professional environment
- Completion of Alberta ProServe certification
- Is able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Possess a high standard of customer service and good organizational skills
- Enjoys interacting with a diverse group of people (artists, leadership participants, conference delegates, etc.)
- Is able to work effectively while under pressure due to time constraints or large volumes of people
- Due to the nature of the job, this position requires the candidate to be available to work a flexible, irregular schedule including evenings and weekends.
- Due to liquor license requirements, only candidates 18 years and older can be considered for this position.
- In accordance with CUPE 4318, this is a unionized, hourly support staff position, subject to a 500-hour probationary period.
- This position pays $17.35 per hour working up to 37.5 hours per week on a rotating schedule.
