
Operations Director - ICI - Ottawa

- Build & Lead the Team: Recruit key talent, implement onboarding and training, and manage ongoing staff development through coaching and mentoring.
- Establish Operations: Implement and refine workflows for procurement, scheduling, safety, and reporting.
- Drive Project Delivery: Oversee schedules, budgets, quality, change management, and HSSE across multiple sites, with regular on-site visits.
- Manage Key Partners: Maintain strong relationships with architects, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure Financial Control: Oversee job costing, quarterly P&L, cash flow, and expenses.
- Support Procurement: Collaborate on bids and proposals, aligning operations with incoming work.
- Oversee Contracts & Risk: Review contracts, resolve claims/insurance issues, and manage risk in partnership with the GM.
- Scale Infrastructure: Plan for equipment, office, and technology needs as the division expands.
- Execution: 15+ years in construction, with 10+ years in leadership roles; experience delivering major ICI projects ($100M+); strong knowledge of methods, scheduling, and financial reporting; familiarity with CM, Design-Build, and IPD delivery models.
- Leadership: Proven ability to build, train, and lead high-performing teams; strong delegation and performance management skills; commitment to an inclusive workplace.
