WAREHOUSE MATERIAL HANDLERSREQUIRED FOR EDMONTON, ALBERTAWarehouse Material Handlers are responsible for assembling orders for customers and delivery trucks. Responsibilities also include sorting, counting, and organizing materials in the warehouses and outdoor storage yard in all weather conditions.SHIFT: Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 5:00PM + Rotational SaturdaysRESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Load, unload and move building materials using various material handling equipment or manually.
  • Conduct inspections, paperwork, cycle counting
  • Place building materials into designated warehouse/yard positions
  • Pick/assemble customer/delivery orders
  • Operate mid to large size sit-down counterbalance propane forklift trucks
  • Serve Pick Up Customers
  • Load trucks
  • Perform warehouse housekeeping duties
  • Take photos of incoming deliveries and customer pick-ups
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse
  • Previous experience operating a sit-down counterbalance propane forklift
  • Able to regularly lift up to 75 lbs for extended periods
  • Able to regularly stand, bend, lift and move repeatedly during shifts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
  • Obtain satisfactory criminal record check
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • No Sundays
  • No shift work
  • Full-time, year-round employment
  • Physically demanding work (lifting heavy, bulky building materials including drywall and roofing supplies)
  • Includes both indoor and outdoor yard work in all weather conditions
