Job Category: Food & BeverageJob Description:Position SummaryUnder the direction of the F&B Supervisor, the Server is responsible for providing excellent customer service and quality food and beverage service in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Above all else, must embrace and be aligned with Casino Nova Scotia's culture and philosophy of providing outstanding entertainment experiences.Job Duties
  • Provides exceptional guest service to dining guests
  • Provides full-table service following established standards of service
  • Cleans, buses and sets tables
  • Performs other cleaning duties as required including Server side duties
  • Works as a member of the team and provides support to co-workers on shift to ensure an overall positive experience for all guests
  • Other assigned duties as required
  • Finds ways to play; you are serious about work, without being serious in your demeanor
  • Chooses to make everyday a great day
  • Stays focused in order to be there
  • Delivers an exceptional entertainment experience to internal and external guests to ensure you make their day
Minimum Qualifications
  • Embraces the Casino Nova Scotia culture and philosophy and has a playful, infectious and "all about the guest" attitude!
  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent is required
  • Completion of the Responsible Service Certificate “Serve Right - it's just good business” is required
  • Minimum 1 year of food and beverage serving experience is required
  • Proven strong sales and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, is required
  • Proven GEM skills are required
  • Must be energetic and able to work quickly, under pressure, in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, is required
  • Proven ability to commit to offering our guests the highest level of guest service
  • Satisfactory attendance is required
  • Proven ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Must be friendly, detailed oriented, fun and outgoing!
  • WHMIS training an asset
  • Micros experience an asset
