
Facility Technician (Maintenance)

- Report directly to the Supervisor for daily tasks, updates, and guidance.
- Receive fuel after conducting appropriate tests to ensure product quality control.
- Perform inspections and monitor storage tanks and pipelines.
- Adhere to all safety standards, ensuring all work is performed safely and supported by established procedures and protocols.
- Perform maintenance on facilities, fuel systems, and pipelines.
- Perform routine and periodic inspections in compliance with company, customer, government, and industry standards.
- Transfer products and monitor storage tanks, pipelines, and related equipment to ensure they are in good working order and to prevent spills, releases, overfills, and product contamination.
- Conduct all work safely by adhering to company, customer, industry, local, provincial, and federal safe work policies and procedures.
- Make required log entries of fuel transactions, quality control, and maintenance, ensuring complete documentation and compliance.
- Lift and move up to 70 lbs. of material and equipment.
- Ensure tasks are performed in accordance with company and airline-specific procedures and policies.
- Assist as needed with fueling aircraft and troubleshooting.
- Assist with daily checks and tasks assigned by the GSE Supervisor.
- Participate in snow clearing and maintenance of the building and yard.
- Attend mandatory training imposed by the company and airlines as per the job role.
- Meet the station’s attendance management program and follow HR policies.
- Respond to fuel spills for cleanup and assist in emergency response.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and airport partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in Canada
- Must have High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to perform basic math calculations, documentation, computer literate
- Must have valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Must be able to successfully pass all background clearance checks related to the position
- Work is done primarily outdoors; must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) and Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP) both written & practical.
- Must be able to continuously lift/move/push up to 70lbs
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedural manuals
- Must be able and flexible to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, holidays with occasional overtime
