The salary range for this position is $145,691 - $158,935 CAD per year. The base salary offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Restricted stock units will be provided as part of the compensation package.This is a hybrid on-site role, employees will be expected to work out of our Toronto office Tuesday-Thursday each week, remote Monday, and Friday.Who We Are:The Partner Home Journeys and Foundations team, a part of Wayfair's Global Supplier Technology (GST) organization, is responsible for the core operational platform that enables our suppliers to work with Wayfair. Our mission is to provide suppliers with the tools they use across supplier management, inventory planning, financial transactions, order management, and operational support. We design each area to streamline processes, enhance visibility, and improve overall efficiency for suppliers working with Wayfair.What You'll Do:As a Lead Product Designer for Partner Home Journeys and Foundations, you will drive the design strategy and execution for the most complex parts of the supplier experience on the Partner Home platform. This is a highly visible role with significant impact. You will act as a pragmatic design leader, able to navigate ambiguity to conceive a vision and then translate that vision into tangible design artifacts like mockups, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Act as both a strategist and product practitioner, crafting thoughtful and effective user experiences that balance business goals with customer needs.
  • Collaborate directly with product managers, engineers, designers, business stakeholders, and senior leadership throughout all stages of the product-development lifecycle.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, setting a high bar for design quality and helping to develop best practices for the team.
  • Triangulate data from multiple inputs to inform design and product strategy.
  • Represent the voice of our customers (suppliers) in product definition and strategy meetings.
What You'll Need:
  • 5+ years of product design experience, including experience leading complex projects from concept to launch.
  • Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience designing for extranet portals and/or dashboards.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of design processes and a realistic grasp of what's feasible in a digital environment.
  • Expertise in producing design deliverables, including detailed user flows, user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Strong skills in modern design tools like Figma.
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS, enough to understand the feasibility of execution.
  • The ability to think at a systems level and design solutions that are scalable and extensible.
  • Experience presenting and defending designs to senior and executive leadership.
  • A portfolio or case studies of shipped work that demonstrates an ability to effectively design for highly technical experiences, a strong user advocacy, a data-driven approach, and strategic thinking.
