You will be working on a broad range of exciting projects as a member of a cross-functional team of specialists (Scrum Master, Business Analyst, Product Owners, Developers, Quality Assurance Engineers, UI / UX Designer). You’ll have access to subject matter experts, coaches, technical training & resources, and will be reporting into the Director of BMCC, CRE, & Occupancy Tech.What would you do?Provide delivery leadership for the team, portfolio, and the book of work (consisting of multiple projects / initiatives of all sizes)Accountable alongside the team for achieving business objectives and key results in order to meet or exceed stakeholder expectationsAccountable for a detailed and prioritized roadmap of the book of work for each fiscal yearAccountable for the operational risk & governance standing of the applications in the portfolio, And ensure that all work is being completed in accordance to RBC’s Technology FrameworkTrack and report portfolio financials to various stakeholders (including senior executives)Participate (or lead) executive presentations on the portfolio status, financials, roadmap, & moreIdentify early warning indicators, track, and mitigate risks & issues affecting the portfolioRemove impediments affecting the portfolio through proactively making educated decisions, involving dependent teams, and escalations inside & outside the organizationCollaborate with internal and external partners (e.g vendor partners, other RBC Teams, etc)Onboard other IT services required by the team in order to deliver portfolio objectivesSolve problems in order to help advance the portfolio (e.g resource / funding constraints)Oversee staffing levels to efficiently meet portfolio objectivesNavigate collective decision-making, negotiations, goal setting, and conflict resolutionAccountable for team performance and productivityAccountable for fostering a positive, trusting, & safe environment that values open dialogue among team membersFacilitate discussions and best practices around business analysis, user experience, and technical conversationsReport on team progress and celebrate accomplishmentsAssist the team with the workload when necessary to help meet timelinesContinuously seek to improve team performance alongside happinessCreate and maintain relationships across the Brand & Marketing departments in order to better align to their strategic goalsRecommend opportunities that help our clients thriveContribute to the continuous improvement of the team’s standards, processes, ad policiesWhat do you need to succeed?Must-haveExperience in project delivery with agile teamsExcellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written).Experience working with vendors that provide resources using various models (staff augmentation, fixed price contracts, and more)Experience scheduling activities across all delivery teams to deliver a common capabilityProven ability to manage projects with third-party vendors and significant technology componentsAdvance knowledge of the change management and risk management practicesNice-to-have3+ years of experience in software development and/or business (system) analysis or other relevant professional experienceKnowledge of Scaled Agile practices3+ years of experience in being a people managerExperience with Planview and/or RBC MIS (Management Information System)Knowledge of technologies that support Corporate Real EstateWhat's in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
