- Coordinating due diligence and feasibility studies for investigating new development opportunities.
- Applying for, tracking, and controlling deadlines as required for city applications, construction documentation.
- Facilitating regulatory duties such as re-zoning, development permits, site plans, and building permits.
- Researching zoning ordinances, construction regulations and environmental restrictions.
- Assisting in coordinating the work of architects, engineers, construction companies, and property managers.
- Provide general support to the Development team.
- Coordinating with city or government agencies and community groups on property matters.
- Establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with all city and administration staff.
- Organizing, attending and participating in internal stakeholder meetings.
- Excellent researching skills.
- An understanding of real estate valuation and finance.
- Previous exposure to the analysis, acquisition, entitlement, development and marketing of residential land.
- Ability to multi-task effectively while remaining detailed-oriented.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Post-secondary degree in Real Estate, Land Use Planning, Business, or other related education required.
- One (1) year minimum experience in the residential real estate industry, multi-family residential and mixed-use projects would be an asset.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
