- Operate multiple Makino 4-Axis Horizontal CNC Milling Centers with Fanuc controllers with minimal supervision, progressing to setup.
- Operate multiple DMG Mori multi-spindle, multi-axis CNC mill-turn lathes and Hardinge 2-Axis CNC lathes with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controllers, with assisted supervision, progressing to setup.
- Follow work instruction documentation and procedures to mount fixtures and establish work coordinates.
- Utilize basic knowledge of cutting tools, including speeds and feeds, to optimize machining processes.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and apply geometrical dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T).
- Use precision measuring equipment and gauges to inspect machined parts and features.
- Collaborate with the team to meet production goals and ensure quality compliance.
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
- Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of experience working in a machine shop environment with CNC machines, working to extremely close tolerances.
- Strong mathematical skills in geometry and trigonometry.
- Demonstrated ability to follow rules, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Effective interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
- CMM (coordinate measuring machines) knowledge of operation.
- Ability to identify, select, and prepare tooling for machines.
- Strong organizational skills for managing paperwork and quality reports.
- Willingness to learn and acquire additional knowledge through study or experience.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, multi-tasking environment.
