Duration: 1.5 months (approx) Shutdown PositionJob Summary:Under the responsibility of the General Manager, and in support of the operations, the incumbent of this position ensures the application and the constant maintenance of the rules of health and safety at work in all our environments by supporting the various activities related to the development of health and security programs. The HSE Advisor will participate in coaching managers and employees in relation to health and safety in the workplace and actively engage in the development and delivery of training programs. They will conduct inspections to ensure environmental compliance, assess risks and potential hazards, and support stakeholders in accident investigations. The HSE Advisor will promote and implement policies, legal aspects, procedures, and safety protocols.Summary of Main Tasks and Daily Activities:
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Stay updated on relevant safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Identify and evaluate potential hazards in the workplace.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies and monitor their effectiveness.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
- Develop and track corrective action plans to address identified issues.
- Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal safety regulations.
- Develop and deliver training programs on health and safety practices.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and modify as necessary.
- Monitor employee adherence to safety procedures and provide ongoing coaching
- Maintain accurate records of safety audits, incidents, training sessions, and inspections.
- Prepare reports and present findings to management.
- 5+ years experience as an HSE Advisor.
- Shutdown experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
- NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer) certification is a strong asset but not mandatory.
- Good knowledge of legal requirements in OHS.
- Proficiency in data processing tools (Office Suite, Internet).
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle for travel to different sites.
- Ensure adherence to established occupational safety and health policies and standards.
- Evaluate organizational needs and provide appropriate safety solutions and services.
- Effectively communicate and build relationships with employees and management.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

- Maintain rigorous records and manage daily work activities effectively.
