- Deliver high-quality instruction to undergraduate and graduate students.
- Develop the content of assigned courses and ensure their pedagogical design.
- Maintain reasonable availability for students during and outside class hours.
- Stay current in their field and in teaching practices to maintain competent and effective instruction.
- Doctorate in a field relevant to the courses for which the candidate is applying (i.e., economics/agricultural economics or sociology), or, alternatively, a Master's degree in a relevant field. Significant post-secondary teaching experience may also be considered, upon evaluation.
- Proven university-level teaching experience with an excellent teaching record.
- Pedagogical and technological skills for online, in-person, co-modal, and hybrid teaching.
- Commitment to student success and well-being.
- Good understanding of the linguistic learning context in minority settings.
