Senior Analyst, Corporate FinanceOur Calgary client is seeking an experienced Senior Analyst, Corporate Finance to join their team. The Senior Analyst, Corporate Finance, supports the Vice President, Corporate Finance, in external financial communications, corporate finance activities, and analytical initiatives. This role works cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality external and executive reporting. The position also contributes to strategic financial analysis, corporate finance projects, and continuous process improvements that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Prepare quarterly and annual MD&A for multiple funds in collaboration with accounting, capital markets, legal, and operations teams.
  • Develop quarterly executive reporting packages, including dashboards, KPIs, variance analyses, and commentary.
  • Conduct industry, competitive, and macroeconomic analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Manage the quarterly fair value modeling process under IFRS and support year-end appraisals and audits.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of underlying assets to ensure accurate reporting and analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of offering memorandums and support scenario analysis for major investments and corporate initiatives.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy, while remaining flexible to evolving business needs.
Your strengths include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA or similar designation preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in a finance or accounting environment, including hands-on experience with external financial reporting.
  • Experience with ERP systems is considered an asset
  • Excellent attention to detail and well-developed problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
