Key ResponsibilitiesAs Controller, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the Canadian operations' financial strategies and operations:Financial Analysis and Operational Insight (25%)
  • Conduct advanced financial modeling, profitability analysis, cash flow projections, and investment return evaluations.
  • Work closely with operational managers to enhance business performance across key areas, identifying improvement strategies to bolster the company's bottom line.
Monthly Financial Reporting (15%)
  • Assist in preparing and communicating financial reporting to the global parent, ensuring accurate and timely board-level presentations.
Budget Preparation and Strategic Forecasting (35%)
  • Lead the development of annual budgets, forecasting, and cash flow planning efforts to support steady company growth.
  • Partner with operational and business line leaders to assess margin opportunities, manage working capital, and optimize inventory.
Support CFO and Finance Function | Risk Management (15%)
  • Collaborate with the CFO to enhance internal processes, risk management systems, tax compliance, and reporting structures.
  • Provide solutions-driven leadership to other finance department employees.

Requirements:What You'll Bring to the Role
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Commerce.
  • CPA designation required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years in progressively responsible finance roles, including 3-4 years of team leadership experience. Exposure to manufacturing industries is mandatory.
  • Proven Financial & Analytical Expertise: A strong standing in preparing and analyzing operating plans, forecasts, and margin performance.
  • Leadership Skills: Adept at guiding cross-functional teams and operational departments toward financial efficiencies and operational goals.
