- Drive new commercial insurance business development through proactive prospecting, cold calling, and relationship-based sales activity
- Operate as a true “hunter”, identifying, targeting, and converting new commercial opportunities
- Develop and maintain a strong personal pipeline, ideally within a defined niche or sector specialization
- Leverage deep business acumen to identify client risks, structure solutions, and position value effectively
- Work within a producer-first operating model, supported by full marketing, brokering, and service teams
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders while retaining ownership of client relationships and revenue growth
- 4+ years of experience in commercial insurance sales (ideally with mid-market experience)
- RIBO license (or willing to obtain)
- Proven success in new business development with excellent prospecting skills
- Deep sector knowledge (manufacturing, construction, realty, residential, etc.) is preferred
- Strong business acumen with the ability to build long-term client relationships
- Experience working with complex renewals and engaging with technical clients
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is nice-to-have
