HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGER – Industrial Manufacturing/Metal Fabrication

• Develop, deliver, and monitor occupational health and safety training programs aligned with operational requirements and regulatory standards
• Conduct regular workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and risk analyses related to metal fabrication and processing equipment
• Implement and maintain health and safety programs in compliance with Ontario OHSA, Ministry of Labour guidelines, and company standards
• Provide certified operator training for forklifts, overhead/bridge cranes, man lifts, and Working at Heights
• Provide technical guidance on the safe use of personal protective equipment (PPE), machine guarding, ventilation, ergonomics, and hazardous materials handling
• Lead and support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
• Collaborate with supervisors, Joint Health & Safety Committees, and workers to support safe work practices
• Maintain safety documentation, training records, and compliance reporting requirements
• Stay informed of changes to legislation, regulations, and standards affecting the industrial and metals sector

• Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, or a related technical discipline (preferred)
• 5-10+ years of health and safety experience within an industrial manufacturing environment, preferably supporting metal services or fabrication operations
• Certified Trainer for forklifts, bridge/overhead cranes, man lifts, and Working at Heights (mandatory)
• Strong working knowledge of hazards related to welding, cutting, grinding, hot work, material handling, and heavy machinery
• Professional designation such as CRSP, CHSC, or equivalent considered an asset
• Demonstrated knowledge of Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act and related regulations
• Proven experience in training delivery, hazard assessments, and incident investigations
• Strong communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills
