Our Calgary Oil & Gas client is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst for governance and compliance improvement initiatives aligning to the NIST framework.This is an initial contract to December 31, 2024, with a possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be living in Calgary and available to follow a hybrid working model (3 days in office) within downtown Calgary.Must Haves:
  • 5+ years in a direct cybersecurity position, with a focus on governance, risk, and/or compliance (GRC)
  • Experience creating governance documentation and conducting compliance audits
  • Experience providing input and assessing governance policies according to the NIST framework
Nice-to-Haves:
  • TSA framework/ governance policy experience
  • Relevant certifications from cybersecurity organizations such as ISC2 and ISACA
  • Oil & Gas industry experience
Responsibilities Overview:
  • Primarily responsible for governance and compliance initiatives, including having the unique opportunity to rework and right-size policies, processes, and practices to ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of cybersecurity governance documentation including frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Support business partners and analysts to develop and implement process improvements and ensure the quality of all required project deliverables.
  • Develop business requirements and process maps to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain the governance dashboard and report on governance activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., TSA, NIST).
