- Define the scope and budget for power system studies mandates.
- Perform/review following Power systems studies:
- Substation grounding & lightning studies.
- Substation Bus studies
- Electromagnetic Transient Studies
- AC interference on pipelines and railway infrastructure from power lines and substation ground grids
- Cable Sizing Studies.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings.
- Must have excellent command over following Software tools: CDEGS, ETAP, WinIGS, CYMCAP, ASPEN OneLiner and PSCAD.
- Planning, scheduling, and estimation and engineering coordination with other disciplines.
- Attend design review and constructability meetings with customers and represent system studies discipline.
- Mentor Junior resources in use of power system software modeling and conducting studies.

- Self-starter with 8+ years of experience in power system studies.
- University Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
- Registered or eligible to register with any Canadian or US Professional Engineers Associations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of French is an asset.
- SES Tech CDEGS Level II or III certification is an asset.
- Working knowledge in AutoCAD, MicroStation, PSS/E, PowerFactory DigSILENT is an asset.
- Hand on experience with soil resistivity, Ground impedance measurements, power quality measurements, is an asset
