Intertek (BML) is a commercial laboratory which specializes in recovery of base and precious metals from raw mineralization. We are looking for dedicated technicians to join our team.General ResponsibilitiesTo ensure that all required tasks are performed safely, accurately and on schedule.Specific Responsibilities:

Safely and efficiently perform fire assay techniques, including fluxing, fusing and cupelling according to standard operating procedures.
Recognize any issues during procedures and immediately report to the supervisor.
Complete and maintain sample logs and worksheets.
Keep a tidy work environment and assist with lead waste disposal.
Assist with sample storage/inventory.
Assist in other areas of the laboratory as needed.
Other tasks may be assigned as needed.

Job Requirements

High school diploma (or equivalent) is required.
Safety oriented and strong attention to detail.
Ability to read, understand and carry out instructions is essential.
Experience in fire assay is an asset, but on-site training will be provided.
Ability to handle extreme temperatures.
Capable of lifting 25 Kg.
Experience with Excel.
Forklift license is an asset
