Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership & Support:
- Conduct regional and market technical reviews, team meetings, and webinars.
- Lead monthly reviews of product and technician performance.
- Provide expert-level support for complex problem resolution, both onsite and remotely.
- Interpret and utilize wiring diagrams and repair manuals for digital press equipment.
- Conduct onsite and remote assessments of malfunctioning equipment.
- Serve as a market advocate and technical expert for production print systems.
- Documentation & Training:
- Document installation procedures for production print equipment across Canada.
- Train local technicians on installation protocols and ongoing support practices.
- Lead branch advocate sessions and mentor team members on technical and soft skills.
- Actively engage in learning opportunities and apply new knowledge to enhance the customer experience.
- Pre-Sales Support:
- Assist with prospect engagements and proposal development.
- Support the initiation of new business opportunities through technical consultation.
- Post-Sales Support:
- Troubleshoot complex customer issues and end-user workflow challenges.
- Ensure customer requirements are met with high-quality technical solutions.
- Consulting & Project Work:
- Occasionally create and manage Statements of Work (SOW) for consulting engagements.
- Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned by management.
- Other Duties/Projects:

- High School diploma or GED required; post-secondary education or equivalent preferred.
- Community College Certificate in Electronic Engineering Technology is an asset.
- Minimum 8 years of technical service experience in the production print industry.
- Industry certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, CDIA+, Microsoft MCP or MCITP (or equivalent experience)
- Strong working knowledge of production print hardware, services, and solutions offerings.
- Product Expertise: Superior knowledge of color and monochrome production systems.
- Color Management: Expert in calibration, RIP configurations, Fiery, and Creo.
- Networking: Skilled in complex MFP installations and advanced network troubleshooting.
- Solutions Knowledge: Strong understanding of the solutions portfolio and user-level applications.
- Software & Systems: Proficiency in interpreting technical data and using diagnostic tools.
- Business & Communication Skills
- Demonstrates a strong focus on maximizing product performance, cost efficiency, and quality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to mentor, coach, and lead technical discussions.
- Strong time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work independently without direct supervision.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%, including after-hours and weekend travel.
- Must maintain valid travel documents for travel within Canada and the U.S.
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and access to a personal vehicle.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during travel or customer engagements.
- Highly responsible, self-motivated, and able to work independently under pressure.
