Job Posting Title: HR Assistant
Time Type: Full TimeCore Purpose and Essence of the Position: responsible for providing administrative HR duties to a defined area of the business. This position will perform administrative human resource duties to support with legal compliance, time & attendance, personnel records, onboarding and terminations as well as additional operational functions.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide local Administrative HR support to managers and employees with various HR related issues
- Input accurate personnel information in Time
- Register employees in the Timeclocks
- Train employees on the clocking in and out process
- Acting as a timekeeper to verify employee timecards for compliance on a weekly/biweekly basis
- Verifying employee work hours and updating missing punches and resolving discrepancies
- Running and processing various time and employee reports on a consistent basis
- Running payroll reports and sending employees hours to payroll and recruitment agencies
- Perform day-to-day administrative duties and filing of employee personal records
- Assist HR Specialist in phone screening, background checks, interviewing of Warehouse and Material Handler roles
- Managing the vacation hours accruals and sending reports to departmental leaders monthly
- Coordinating with recruitment agencies personnel on agency workforce matters
- Following up with absences from the contract team members.
- Proficient in MS Word (Outlook and Excel)
- HRIS knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail skills
- Time Management Skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's Degree in human resources management or equivalent experience, CHRP is preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Human Resources Assistant, with a focus on employee relations.
