Lead Hand – Landscape Enhancements / Equipment OperatorJob DutiesLead and support a crew on enhancement projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standardsOperate heavy equipment including skid steers and mini excavators for landscape installationsOversee and assist with:Hardscape installation (pavers, retaining walls, steps, etc.)Softscape installation (planting, tree/shrub installation, soil prep, sod/seed)Site grading, drainage, and light excavationRead and interpret landscape plans, drawings, and specificationsCoordinate materials, tools, and equipment on-site to keep projects moving smoothlyPerform and delegate tasks such as trenching, grading, compacting, and backfillingEnsure proper care and maintenance of equipment, vehicles, and toolsProvide direction, training, and support to crew members while fostering a positive team environmentTransition into winter snow and ice management during the off-seasonJob Requirements3–5 years of landscape construction or enhancement experience, with crew lead experience preferredSkilled in operating skid steers, mini excavators, and other landscape/construction equipmentAbility to supervise, organize, and motivate a team while working hands-onKnowledge of planting techniques, soil prep, grading, and hardscape installation methodsAbility to read and interpret landscape drawings and specificationsValid driver’s license with clean abstractStrong problem-solving, communication, and time management skillsAble to work well under pressure with solid attention to detailWhat We OfferCompany-paid health benefitsRRSP program with company contributionSafe, healthy, and team-focused work environmentAdvancement opportunitiesCompany-paid uniforms & boot allowanceEmployee appreciation events and activitiesOther titles this role may be known as:
