- Operate solution mining systems as directed in a specific range of process parameters. This system consists of pumps, valves, filtration units, brine mixing equipment, and a conveyor.
- Independently monitor and record process conditions such as flow rates, temperatures, pressures, and volumes.
- Collect, analyze, and log results of brine samples. Follow approved sampling and analysing protocols.
- Assist and oversee the offloading of salt from a transport trailer to a storage silo, ensuring that the appropriate procedures are followed.
- Identify and report operational issues, leaks, spills, or abnormal readings or conditions. Ensure they are clearly and promptly communicated to the Supervisor.
- Support the isolation and lockout of process equipment for maintenance and safely assist with minor equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards through regular area cleanup.
- Drive to deliver samples or pick up supplies with company vehicle as required.
- Work closely and cooperatively with site team members.

- High school diploma (Grade 12) required.
- Previous experience with brine systems, solution mining, or process testing considered an asset.
- Experience working in an industrial or construction site setting with process and/or trades experience an asset.
- Experience with HMI or production software an asset.
- Trades training an asset - specifically in millwrighting, pipefitting, instrumentation, electrical.
- Class 5 Driver’s License
- Safety Construction Orientation Training (SCOT)
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to recognize process upsets and communicate observations clearly and promptly to the Supervisor.
- Ability/desire to learn; self-motivated, enthusiastic.
- Proficient with monitoring and recording process data (manual and digital).
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
- Computer knowledge an asset.
- Solid oral and written communication skills.
- Solid problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Physically capable of lifting to 25 kg and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the job without posing a direct threat to the safety of his or her own self, or the safety of others.
- Able to climb stairs or ladders and work at heights with fall arrest.
- Able to independently commute to a rural worksite.
- Rotating shift work, including nights and weekends. 12hr shifts
- Industrial site environment with potential exposure to brine, noise, and temperature extremes.
- Must always wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Occasional overtime or call-in work may be required during the test phases or equipment issues.
- Strict adherence to the site’s policy of no drugs, no alcohol.
