- Collaborate with clients to plan and organize banquet events, including corporate meetings, conferences, weddings and events.
- Coordinate event logistics, including setup and take down, decorations, audiovisual equipment and seating arrangements.
- Train and supervise banquet staff, including servers, bartenders and event setup crew.
- Direct supervise staff during events, ensuring the highest quality service and exceptional guest satisfaction.
- Anticipate the guests needs and provide exceptional service to enhance their experience.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of events.
- Ability to step in and perform hands-on service duties during peak periods.
- Minimum, 3-years of food and beverage experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Previous Banquets experience considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with the clients, guests and team members effectively.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks and coordinate events simultaneously.
- Quick decision making and problem-solving skills to handle unexpected issues during events.
- Deep understanding of hospitality industry standards and trends.
- Have a valid ProServe certification.
- Experience working in a variety of restaurant settings.
- Completion of a business or hospitality degree is preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods (up to 8+ hours), especially during event setup, execution, and teardown.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items such as banquet tables, chairs, chafing dishes, and event equipment — typically up to 40–50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive motions while arranging table settings, linens and equipment.
- Long or irregular hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on event schedules.
