- Supports the Delivery and Shunt operations for the Spoke location, partnering with various cross-functional partner.
- Develops a high performing team; directs day-to day activities of the Home Delivery teammates.
- Actively participates in the recruitment of teammates.
- Provides coaching and feedback to Delivery Supervisors in managing their teams of Delivery Teammates.
- Drives team engagement, development, and retention by connecting team to the Voila vision, encouraging innovation, clear communication, and continuous feedback.
- Builds new processes to meet the demands of the business and documents such processes in the form of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Approximately 5-10 direct reports (Delivery Supervisors).
- Supports continuous improvement effort by utilizing customer service feedback and routing analysis.
- Partners with Training Specialists to ensure in-class theoretical learnings are supported with practical application on the job.
- Accountable to ensure consistent standards and continuous learning.
- Ensures all Teammates have current driver abstracts, valid licensing, monitor teammates behavior and reporting of hours, and ensure teammates are trained appropriately to provide best in class home delivery experience.
- Supports and partners with Fleet Solutions Manager to ensure fleet availability and safety.
- Partners with the Maintenance Manager to oversee cleanliness and repairs at the Spoke.
- Accountable for ‘On Time Delivery’ (95%+) metric, Accountable for (90%+) Net Promoter Score; ensuring Teammate embody behaviors that drive results.
- Contributes to the continuous improvement of operations.
- Partners with the Sales & Capacity Planning team to ensure the effective planning of routes and labor.
- Manage the delivery program to a budget and participate in monthly financial reviews.
- Leads the team in following Food Safety Protocols
- Manages and promotes a culture where the Health & Safety of teammates is a priority.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in transportation and or logistics field including experience in a leadership role with a high focus on customer experience/satisfaction
- Delivery experience (business to customer) in an e-commerce environment an asset
- Post-Secondary education in a business-related field
- A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
- Strong knowledge of Employment Standards Legislation
- Experience working in a unionized environment.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving abilities
- Experience in effectively managing a large team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and external parties.
- Class 5 driver’s license (non GDL), ability to travel within the Alberta, and willingness to travel outside of Alberta on occasion to meet business needs.
