On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a IAM Advisor to join our Client's team on a contract basis. This role is Hybrid and the Client is based in Vancouver, BC.Summary of the Role
The IAM Advisor will support identity and access management operations and projects, primarily by handling approvals for IAM-related ServiceNow tickets. The role also acts as a subject matter expert (SME) in Entra ID and Active Directory, contributing to project-based and operational cybersecurity initiatives.Duties & ResponsibilitiesReview and approve IAM-related ServiceNow tickets.Provide subject matter expertise for Entra ID and Active Directory in support of ongoing projects.Identify cybersecurity risks through assessments and log monitoring.Recommend remediation strategies based on security test outcomes.Support incident response processes and contribute to incident documentation.Assist with the definition and implementation of security requirements across business units.Conduct compliance impact assessments and guide cybersecurity execution in IT projects.Develop and refine threat detection analytics and security standards.Core RequirementsMinimum 5 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in cybersecurity.Subject Matter Expertise in Entra ID.Subject Matter Expertise in Active Directory.Experience with ServiceNow ticket workflows.Proven ability to assess and mitigate cybersecurity risks.Desired Skills & ExperienceExperience with Privileged Access Management (PAM).Experience with Identity Governance and Administration (IGA).Familiarity with incident response procedures.Experience conducting security compliance assessments.Understanding of security standards and frameworks.Terms
This is a 6-month contract role, starting October 1, 2025, and ending March 31, 2026. The position follows a hybrid work model based in Vancouver, though the specific onsite/remote schedule is to be determined.
