- Conduct pre-shift huddles and provides feedback for Team Members
- Leads, coaches, mentors, and trains Sanitation Team Leaders
- Coordinates all sanitation activities to accomplish sanitation practices according to Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP’s)
- Maintains daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation records
- Leads sanitation personnel onsite and ensuring daily requirements/procedures are carried out
- Conducts SWAP test as necessary
- Performs all job responsibilities under the strictest guidelines of the BRC food safety standards
- Ensures all chemicals used in the cleaning process are mixed with a proper solution according to the suppliers’ specifications
- Ensures Sanitation Team members are adequately trained and works with contractor or internal supporting groups to resolves training if deficiencies are found
- Works with QA to Maintain the Master Sanitation Schedule as per FGF’s guidelines, ensuring all daily, weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-annual and Annual tasks are performed and documented
- Maintains sanitation chemical inventory
- Participates in the visual pre-op inspection at the end of the cleaning process in order to ensure that the lines meet the required standards and follow up on identified deficiencies in a timely manner
- Participates in self-inspections and follow up on actions items
- Provides feedback on team member and/or team performance to the Corporate Sanitation Leader
- Creates a continuous improvement (Lean/Kaizen/5S) environment by improving products, service, and processes with the objective to reduce waste, improve cleaning effectiveness within the area while striving for efficiency and profitability within Sanitation
- Locks out, dismantles, cleans and sanitizes production equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Post-Secondary education from an accredited institution
- Must be a demonstrated leader who easily interacts with others and is adept at leading/motivating a team to meet demands
- Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication skills, along with simple mathematical abilities
- Accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to detect the presence of a sanitation issue
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Working knowledge of GMP's, HACCP, BRC & O.H.S.A required
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to maintain high level of self-motivation, set priorities within established guidelines and work independently
- Ability to work in an environment that values cross-functional cooperation
